MEETING TO COMMEMORATE THE 53RD ANNIVERSARY OF THE GRADUATION OF THE PIONEERS OF FUNDÃO, NOW PIONEERS OF GOLD,

The Annual Meeting of the Gold Pioneers of Fundão was held on Saturday, December 8, 2025, at 1 pm, at Belmonte Leme, with a massive presence of 21 Pioneers, 2 Teachers and 5 Special Guests.

The number of Pioneers who attended this event is only surpassed by the number of 25 years at the Federal, in 1997, Silver Jubilee, the first.

The Masters who honoured us with their illustrious presence raised the level, offering us with their Fantastic Stories, life experiences and the joy of sharing with us a moment of so much joy and emotion, they told us once again, since they have been in previous Meetings, that it is the only Class they know that keeps meeting, united,  honoring those who left earlier for the other Plane and celebrating life, reinforcing the bonds of true Friendship and recharging the batteries of energy with the pure ones coming from the Heavens and the Earth. Thank you, Masters Affonsinho and Amilton!

The Special Guests valued our Meeting, not only numerically, but because they recognize the effort, we all make to keep the Group United and thus we honour them for as much as they did for Physical Education, National Sport and the Nation. Highlight for Maria Olivia, Jayme’s Dear Daughter who by going, provided Mestre Jayme, herself and our Cast with joy that only Father and Daughter can know. Thank you Mestre Ênio, Edson, Roberto and Telmo!

The arrival of the Dean Pioneer of Gold, more than Diamond Mauro de Santa Maria wielding his Art, a painting that portrayed in a Blue Sky where now lives the Pioneer Alexandre, who left last week, before us. Then he also toasted the Pioneer Solange with 2 of his works portraying the Golden Pioneer and always present with her Daughter and Granddaughters.  Mauro also contributed with the idea of starting to hold Meetings that recharge our energies and strengthen our Friendship, every six months, since between the past and this one, 4 Golden Pioneers became Stars in the Heavens. Kid (we found out now, he passed away 7 years ago), Alexandre, Herbert Façanha and Victor Freeland. Deafening “Moment of Silence” in posthumous tribute, to those who preceded us on this trip to the other side: “In Piam Memoriam”.

It is important to emphasize the importance of Lea Laborinha’s Leadership who knows everything and everyone, who with her organization, sympathy and experience keeps with all affection the notebook that since 1977 has housed all those present at the parties, their addresses and telephone numbers. Also thank the ever-present Pioneer Leader Carlos Alberto, the Submarino, Sub, or Nequinha who spares no effort to make everything work out and works to add values and names to the Group’s festivities. This year, for example, he had a great idea in taking the Meeting close to Mano Lazaroni, who we knew was recovering. Laza noticed and did not beg, he went with his usual joy, powerful voice and humility, receiving his Booklet, and handing it to his colleagues.

Every year there is a novelty, Certificate of Attendance, Diploma, others, this year a questionnaire was prepared so that you could get to know each other even more, with the ancient Art of the Graduation Invitation, the Pioneer in Uniform, the Pioneer with the Pioneer Pickaxe and this time as a tribute to the Pioneer Women, she designed a beautiful Pioneer in Uniform for the Cover of the Interview Booklet. 16 Pioneers gave us their answers, many things that we did not even know, now we know and we respect and admire even more, the others who could not fulfill, of what we did penance, they will certainly do for the Booklet II that will happen.

The presence of the Pioneer Dean Jayme Valente is also noteworthy, who had not given us his illustrious and categorical presence for a long time, busy as he was and still in recent mourning. He agreed to come this time to the general joy of the entire Pioneer Nation, thanks to the determination of the two-time World Soccer Champion and Gold Pioneer of Fundão Carlos Cesar Ramos Custódio, who located him not long ago, got the consent of Jayme and the permission of his son and guardian Pedro, through Mrs. Ivonete da Casaminha. Even better, that knowing of Jayminho’s coming to Belmonte, his daughter Maria Olivia, who we have known since she was a little girl, also came to brighten and beautify the environment. Thank you, Maria Olivia!

Sunny day, very hot and crowds on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro, the Marvelous City, some confirmed their presence and for just reasons could not come, others did not confirm and came, those who could not come and are always present also had pertinent reasons, it would be even better for everyone. Belmonte Leme booked without knowing who we were, chose the best place, and now they know the importance of this Group of Pathfinders, Teachers, Masters and Doctors who have done so much for Physical Education and Sports, educating through physical and sports activity: what other class has 3 (three) World Soccer Championships, in addition to Runners-up?
