            A FESTA DE NATAL, PARA NÓS CRISTÃOS, NÃO PODE SER CELEBRADA COMO SE FOSSE UM FOLCLORE RELIGIOSO, POIS ELA RECORDA A MAIS SÉRIA OPÇÃO DE DEUS, NOSSO PAI E CRIADOR, EM FAVOR DA HUMANIDADE.

            NO NATAL PROCLAMAMOS QUE, COM O NASCIMENTO DE JESUS APARECEU A GRAÇA DE DEUS, CHEGOU A LUZ QUE BRILHA NAS TREVAS, QUE AUMENTA A NOSSA ALEGRIA E NOS ANUNCIA A LIBERTAÇÃO. MANIFESTOU-SE A GRAÇA DE DEUS, FONTE DE SALVAÇÃO PARA TODOS.

            AO CELEBRAR CRISTÃMENTE O NATAL FAZEMOS MEMÓRIA DESSE EXTRAORDINARIO ACONTECIMENTO E TRAZEMOS JESUS PARA A NOSSA VIDA, RECONHECENDO NELE NOSSO CONTEMÓRÂNEO, DEUS CONOSCO. Lord, this Christmas,

Plant a tree inside my heart

And hang on it, instead of gifts,

The names of all my Followers, Relatives and Friends!

Friends from far and near

The old and the recent

The ones I see every day

And the ones I rarely meet.

The always remembered,

The ones that are sometimes forgotten.

The constant and the intermittent,

Those of the hard times and those of the joyful hours,

The ones I unintentionally hurt

Or unintentionally, they hurt me.

Those whom I know deeply

And those of whom I am known only the appearances,

Those who owe me little and those to whom I owe much.

My young friends and my old friends.

My Friends Made Men

And the children, my Little Friends.

My humble Friends and my important Friends.

The names of everyone who has ever passed through my life.

Those who admire and esteem me without my knowing,

The ones I cherish without implying them.

I wish, Lord, this Christmas,

Planting a tree with very deep roots

So that their names will never again

Be torn from my life.

A tree with extensive branches

So that new names, coming from all over,

Come and join the existing ones.
