The second disillusionment
Brazilian and the birth of the
Italian Squadra Azzurra
When Italy promoted the second World Cup, prestigious throughout
European soccer, Brazil was the only country to attend with
its full force.
Uruguay refused to defend the title, reacting to the
boycott it suffered from Europe in 1930.
Argentina – to show solidarity with its
