7 – TRAINING OF THE MARKING AREAS/ZONES:
Local: Full Ground/Campo todo.
Teams: Starters (11) and Reserves.
Dynamics: Simultaneously, the two teams position themselves to score according to the coach’s recommendation, all over the field (1), from the opposing midfield (2), from the midfield (3) and from the midfield (4). From the middle of the field, the coach commands:
marking 1 (raises 1 finger) and the whole team moves compactly to the opponent’s field.
marking 2 (raises 2 fingers) and the whole team moves backwards, compactly behind the opposite midfield, until the defenders are positioned in their midfield.
marking 3 (raises 3 fingers) and the whole team moves backwards compactly in their own half of the field.
marking 4 (raises 4 fingers) and the whole team retreats behind their own midfield, with the defenders remaining outside the penalty area.
You can switch from 1 to 3, etc… You can add the image of the ball on the right side of the opponent, in the center or on the left side.
Material: If the work is carried out simultaneously by the two teams, 2 sets of different shirts.
Tips:
At the beginning of the work, especially with young people, cones are arranged outside the field demarcating the imaginary intermediate lines.
With the development of training, preparation, the Coach can give the Goalkeeper, or a defender or even the Captain the function of commanding the marking zones (areas).
In the more advanced stages, the compression in positions 2, 3 and 4 should be with 20 meters between the most advanced player and the one with the back line.
Balls can be used on the sides and in the middle, or the Coach himself with a ball for the team will consider the marking line and the ball, when he can become more compact by approaching the position of the ball and moving away from the opposite side.
In addition to the tactical aspect, the training can have physical characteristics according to the Training Phase, making it a very useful Interval.
The first team I saw score in an area of 20 meters was Milan nineteen hundred and in the past, giving the opponent the impression of an insurmountable mountain, having only one teaspoon to rough it. They give the ball away…
Also very interesting was Michaels’ Holland who attacked the man of the ball with practically all the players (except the goalkeeper who covered) leaving the inattentive attackers offside. They often took the ball away and went quickly to the goal. Dutch Carousel or Clockwork Orange.
