The History of the World Cup: 50 years of excitement and goal
Brazilian Football Confederation
Part I. Presentation
The history of Brazilian football is full
of glories throughout their existence.
Brazil is the only country in this sport that can be
proud to have participated in all the Championships
world championships, including three-time world champion, the
which gave him ultimate possession of the Jules Rimet Cup through the
glorious journeys of 1958, 1962 and 1970.
Football is, as a sport, the passion of the Brazilian people, who
vibrates with the victories of its clubs and delirious with the
achievements of the national team.
It should be noted that in recent years some events
have collaborated negatively within the context of it.
Undoubtedly, the gigantism of the Brazilian Championship, the
absence of an adequate timetable, the lack of
training, among other factors, can be considered
important elements in this process.
However, we have an essential raw material for
That no other country has: the innate quality of the player
brazilian, who has football in his blood, the football-art that
so often dazzled the world. Maybe this is the only one
example in Brazil of the massification of the practice of a sport and
that’s why we’ve reaper so many positive results.
The new board of directors of the Brazilian Football Confederation,
along side comprehensive administrative measures, it wishes to
implement a programme to support the structure of football in
our country. For this, we count on all the powers of our
home and with the understanding of Brazilian sportsmen,
to make our task feasible.
We hope, at the end of the three years of our term,
Carry out part of this program and bequeathe our successors
conditions for its continuity, certain that we are
contributing to the greatness of Brazilian football.
